Gearbox Software is expanding the Borderlands 4 experience with two major content drops this summer and fall. These updates introduce new playable characters and story missions to the looter-shooter. Players who want to extend their campaign with fresh challenges should note the specific release dates for each pack.
New playable character Loveless joins the game alongside a major version update
The first addition is Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions, which arrives on July 30. This pack focuses on new bounty missions within the existing game world. This release acts as a transitional step between the initial game launch and the larger expansion scheduled for later in the year.
The main event arrives on September 10 with Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort. This release coincides with the game's Version 1.10 update, which patches the core experience. The story pack brings back the fan-favorite beastmaster, FL4K, as a central figure in the new narrative.
Alongside FL4K, the September 10 update introduces Loveless the Hacker as a new playable Vault Hunter. The new story content is accessible to players using a variety of character classes. The game remains available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Bounty Pack 5 is also scheduled to launch on September 10, providing additional side content alongside the main story expansion. We looked at Silent Hill f Crimson Butterfly DLC earlier while tracking Gearbox software launches.
