DICE released Title Update 1.4.1.0 for Battlefield 6 on July 21st, bringing a major overhaul to naval warfare and player movement. This update matters because it fundamentally changes how players interact with the game's water environments and adds new graphics technology for supported hardware. Players can now experience a new map and refined combat mechanics that address previous inconsistencies in traversal and vehicle physics.

New map and graphics tech arrive with July 21 patch

The patch introduces Naval Combat as a new feature alongside a Dynamic Wave System that affects visibility and movement. A new map called Tsuru Reef is also available, offering Pacific archipelago combat across land, sea, and air. The update is available globally on and the EA App starting at 8:00 UTC on July 21st.

Graphics technology receives a significant boost with full support for 4.5. This includes access to Multi-Frame Gen X5 and X6, as well as Dynamic Multi-Frame Gen. The update also adds support for Vsync with NVIDIA DLSS , giving users more options for performance and visual fidelity.

Water gameplay has received a broad update to make swimming, resurfacing, and underwater visibility more consistent. Player movement is tighter with improvements to sliding, mounting, and squad spawning. Vehicles now interact more naturally with water, featuring improved visual feedback and realistic helicopter rotor wash effects on vegetation.

DICE said: "Major Updates for 1.4.1.0… Water gameplay has received a broad Season 4 update, making swimming, resurfacing, Drag and Revive, underwater visibility, parachute deployment near water, and water interactions feel more consistent across combat and traversal." The patch also polishes audio feedback and improves menu clarity for challenges and rewards. Ranked Battle Royale receives balance changes and clearer end-of-round updates.

We looked at Death Stranding 2 Update 1.8 Released earlier while tracking Dice launches. The update concludes with fixes for the Portal Creator SDK and rules editor to help custom experiences behave more predictably. This patch solidifies the Season 4 content rollout with technical improvements and new gameplay features.
