Asus has updated its popular 14-inch laptop lineup with the new Zenbook 14 (UX3405 replacement), bringing ’s latest Panther Lake processors to a familiar chassis. This refresh matters because it swaps older Arrow Lake chips for a new generation that promises better efficiency and performance in a thin, lightweight body. Buyers looking for a portable machine with a high-quality screen now have a fresh option that balances power and battery life.

The core of this update is the move to Intel Panther Lake silicon, available in Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 7 355, or Core Ultra 9 386H variants. Asus pairs these processors with a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display that delivers 120 Hz refresh rates and peaks at 1,100 nits in HDR mode. The screen offers 500 nits of brightness for standard SDR content, ensuring vivid visuals for both work and media consumption.
