The update arrives in version V.2.1.8.0 of the overclocking utility. It targets ASUS graphics cards equipped with the Power Detector+ hardware feature. Current support is limited to the ROG Astral, Matrix RTX 5090, and Matrix RTX 4090 models.
The core function monitors the 12V-2×6 power connector for excessive current draw. If the system detects more than 12.5 amps, it triggers an automatic shutdown. This threshold is designed to prevent damage from wiring faults or connector issues.
