Embark Studios has announced a shift to bi-annual major updates for ARC Raiders. The next major update, called Frozen Trail, is scheduled for October 2026.

Frozen Trail brings largest map and redesigned skills

Frozen Trail will introduce the largest ARC Raiders map yet, a new ARC operation, a redesigned skill system, and explore ARC origins. Additionally, a new late-game trader will be added next week, offering unique rewards. The Expedition Vault will allow players to carry up to five items.

The update will be available globally in October 2026.

Embark Studios stated that the new cadence allows for larger, more impactful updates that genuinely change how the game is played. A dedicated live service team will continue handling day-to-day operations, including regular live updates, balance fixes, bug fixes, store updates, and player events. The studio emphasized that they are not just stacking new content but refining core systems for a more meaningful long-term experience.
