The update targets a broad range of devices including the RG35XX Plus, RG35XXH, and RG28XX. It also covers the RG35XXSP, RG40XXH, RG40XXV, and RG CubeXX. Additional supported models include the RG34XX, RG34XXSP, and RG35XX Pro.
Anbernic rolled out several firmware versions to match different device configurations. The company released v1.2.4 for newer units while older devices received updates like v1.1.3 or v1.1.0. Some models were updated to v1.1.5, v1.1.1.0, v1.0.7, v1.0.6, or v1.0.5 depending on their release date.
The firmware changes focus on system stability and interface improvements. Users can now access new UI themes that provide a more intuitive display layout. The update also resolves a PSP shortcut key issue related to backlight brightness adjustments. Low battery notification prompts received fixes as well.
Owners must manually download the firmware files and flash them onto microSD cards. Anbernic confirmed that no over-the-air notifications will appear on the devices. Users should verify available firmware versions through official sources prior to installation.
