Amazon Games is bringing a new interactive experience to its Luna cloud gaming service with Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles. This release gives Prime members a free, cooperative party game that ties directly into the animated series airing on Prime Video. Players can join forces to solve crimes in Gotham City using their own smartphones as controllers.
Smartphone controllers drive cooperative crime-solving missions
The title launches on July 31 to coincide with the Season Two premiere of the Batman: Caped Crusader animated series. Amazon Games describes the experience as a cooperative crime-solving party game for up to four players. You will step into the dark, noir-soaked streets of Gotham City as part of a special GCPD task force and Batman’s inner circle.
The game features 11 episodic missions that focus on sleuthing and deduction. It relies on a smartphone-based control scheme where players use their mobile devices to interact with the game. The voice cast includes Hamish Linklater as Batman and Michelle C. Bonilla as Detective Montoya, both reprising their roles from the animated series.
Prime members can access the game on Luna at no additional cost. The release is available to Prime members and Luna subscribers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The game is exclusive to the Luna platform.
We looked at Batman: Caped Crusader earlier while tracking Amazon’s animated slate. This new title offers a free, multiplayer way to engage with the franchise while the show continues. The game is now available for download on the Luna app in the supported regions.
