Arc G3 Extreme handheld with AMOLED display
ONEXPLAYER has officially launched the ONEXPLAYER 3 on Indiegogo, its new Windows 11 handheld based on Intel Arc G3 Extreme. The device uses Intel Arc B390 graphics, an Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 46 TOPS, and an 8.8-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz VRR support.
The company is marketing the ONEXPLAYER 3 as a 3-in-1 device. It can be used as a handheld, tablet, compact laptop with a magnetic keyboard, or as a PC through external display connectivity. The controllers are detachable, and the device also supports a controller connector accessory.
Indiegogo pricing starts at $1,399 for the 24GB memory and 512GB storage model. The 24GB+1TB version costs $1,499, while the 32GB+1TB version is listed at $1,699. Early backers will also receive a controller connector, magnetic keyboard, and protection bag.
That pricing puts pressure on MSI’s Claw 8 EX AI+. MSI’s 32GB+1TB model has been listed at $1,799, while ONEXPLAYER’s equivalent 32GB+1TB Indiegogo tier is $100 lower. The $1,399 ONEXPLAYER 3 tier is $400 below MSI’s official price, though it uses less memory and storage, and it is a crowdfunding price rather than a standard retail listing.
The display is one of the main differences. ONEXPLAYER 3 uses an 8.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 1920×1200 resolution, HDR support, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, up to 1100 nits peak brightness, and 144Hz VRR. ONEXPLAYER also lists an 85Wh battery and claims more than 25 hours of PCMark office battery life.
The detailed spec slide lists a 14-core Arc G3 Extreme processor with 2 Performance cores, 8 Efficient cores, and 4 Low-Power Efficient cores. The GPU is Intel Arc B390 with 12 Xe3 cores and up to 2.3 GHz frequency. The system supports up to 32GB LPDDR5X-8533 memory, M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 storage, Mini SSD expansion, microSD expansion, two USB4 Type-C ports, and one USB-A 3.2 port.
Even with the lower Indiegogo price, this is still an Arc G3 Extreme handheld well above $1,000. The ONEXPLAYER 3 makes MSI’s pricing harder to defend on specs alone, as it offers the same Intel graphics class, a lower entry price, and an AMOLED display. The comparison is not fully direct until retail pricing and independent reviews are available.
