Ubisoft has announced Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The game is a reimagining of the classic pirate adventure. It launches on July 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The game uses the Anvil engine from Assassin's Creed Shadows. This brings features like raytracing, RTGI, improved sound, dynamic weather, and destructible objects. All side activities from the original return and have been rebuilt from the ground up. The ship now supports autopilot via a new Pathfinder system. The classic Wanted System is back, with pirate hunters stalking players based on their wanted level. Players can reduce their bounty by boarding ships or paying bribes.

Game Director Richard Knight confirmed that side activities such as Royal Convoys and social chests are included. Creative Director Paul Fu noted that the team is exploring feedback on the parry visual effects being too loud. Players will be able to customize UI and HUD options, including turning off the VFX.
