Ubisoft Singapore is releasing Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on July 9, 2026. The title launches for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
Ubisoft Singapore removes Animus sequences to align with recent series trajectory
The remake removes modern-day scenes to align with the direction of Assassin's Creed: Shadows. Paul Fu stated that the Animus has evolved significantly over recent years. This shift makes it odd for the studio to maintain previous narrative structures. The game introduces rifts that explore what-if scenarios similar to those in Assassin's Creed: Shadows.
Developers added a new perfect parry system and enhanced visuals to the title. VGC described the remake as a perfect summer jaunt back to the Caribbean.
The creative director explained the decision to remove modern-day sequences during an interview with VGC earlier this month. The studio prioritized consistency with the series' current trajectory over maintaining historical design elements.
Ubisoft Singapore has not confirmed additional details regarding the project beyond the release window and platform list.
