A community developer has released a virtual reality modification for Forza Horizon 6 that enables immersive gameplay. The modder known as NALULUNA created this tool to bring the racing title into VR headsets. This release allows players to experience the game through full six degrees of freedom tracking.

Community tool enables immersive cockpit view with head tracking

The modification targets the driver cockpit view within the game environment. It supports complete head, neck, and physical movement tracking for a natural immersion. Players must launch the specific executable file named fh6vr.exe to activate these VR features. This separate launcher injects the necessary code into the running game instance.

Technical controls allow users to define custom resolutions that exceed their monitor's native limits. The tool also permits field of view adjustments beyond the standard in-game restrictions. A key feature synchronizes the game frame rate directly with the headset refresh rate. This sync helps maintain visual stability during high-speed racing sequences.

The mod disables 3D rendering and cancels headset rotation when users access non-driving menus or chase camera views. Only the driver perspective functions correctly within the virtual reality environment. Other camera modes remain unsupported by this specific modification. Users should expect potential bugs and glitches since the original game lacks native VR design.
