Belkin has launched a 45W GaN wall charger with a built-in retractable USB-C cable in China. The compact design aims to reduce cable clutter while delivering fast charging for modern smartphones and tablets.

GaN technology delivers 92% efficiency and cooler operation
The charger, model WCH023, uses gallium nitride components to achieve 92% power conversion efficiency. It runs about 10 degrees Celsius cooler than older non-GaN chargers, according to Belkin.
Specifications
- Model: WCH023
- Cable length: 0.8 meters
- Dimensions: 65 x 52 x 38 mm
- Weight: 145 grams
- Max power (single device): 45W
When connected to a single device, the charger delivers up to 45W. For two devices, power splits into 25W for one output and 20W for the other. It supports USB PD 3.1 and PPS fast-charging protocols.
The retractable cable extends to 0.8 meters and is rated to withstand 5,000 bends and a 10kg load. The retraction mechanism is rated for 20,000 cycles. The charger measures 65 by 52 by 38 mm and weighs 145 grams. Its outer shell is made from 90% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Belkin claims the 45W output can charge an iPhone 17 Pro to 50% in 20 minutes and a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to 50% in 25 minutes. The charger is priced at 199 CNY (about $29.37) and is available on JD.com in China.
