Xiaomi is preparing a battery upgrade service for the Xiaomi 14 Pro in China. The phone recently re-registered for network access with a larger 5000 mAh battery, up from the original 4880 mAh. This move mirrors a similar program Xiaomi ran for the Xiaomi 13 series.

Larger battery spotted in network re-registration
The Xiaomi 14 Pro launched with a 6.73-inch 1440×3200 display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor clocked at 3.3 GHz. It offers RAM options of 8GB, 12GB, or 18GB and storage up to 1TB.
- Display: 6.73-inch 1440×3200
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core 3.3 GHz
- RAM: 8GB/12GB/18GB
- Storage: up to 1TB
- Battery (new): 5000 mAh typical
The re-registration shows a 5000 mAh typical battery capacity, a 120 mAh increase over the original 4880 mAh cell. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, this is likely a verification device for an upcoming battery upgrade service.

Xiaomi previously offered a battery upgrade for the Xiaomi 13 series, priced at 189 CNY (about $27.89). The Xiaomi 14 Pro upgrade is expected to follow a similar model, though pricing has not been confirmed.
The service appears limited to China based on the network access re-registration. No global availability has been mentioned.
