Maverick Games shared the first gameplay footage for its arcade racer CLUTCH, giving players a look at the game's core systems and racing structure. The video reveals how the title handles time-based events and player progression through its open world.

First video shows racing structure and vehicle upgrades

The game centers on a day-night cycle that shifts between official track races and underground street competitions. Players can modify vehicles with experimental ClutchTech modifications and improve their driving skills as they progress through the campaign.

Players can customize vehicles with a wide range of performance and visual modifications. Maverick Games focused on skill progression over simple aesthetics, enabling drivers to adapt their vehicles for different racing styles.

Maverick Games plans to release CLUTCH sometime in 2027. The studio noted that the current footage comes from a pre-release build and may not reflect the final visual quality or performance of the completed product.
