Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. The release brings the updated RPG to Nintendo's current-generation console alongside a confirmed price point of $49.99 USD.
Square Enix confirms updated RPG arrives next month with full HD visuals
The title features remastered visuals for characters, monsters, and backgrounds in full HD with improved resolution. Square Enix added quality-of-life updates including a high-speed mode and an option to disable random encounters during gameplay.

Save data from the original Nintendo Switch version does not transfer to the new Switch 2 release. Players starting fresh on the next-generation hardware cannot import their progress from the previous console generation.
The game is available for pre-order through the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop. Square Enix has not yet confirmed whether existing owners of the Switch version will receive a free or paid upgrade path to the new platform.
This release follows the original HD Remaster launch on the first-generation Switch console years ago. The new port targets players looking for updated visuals and modern quality-of-life features on Nintendo's latest hardware.
