Capcom released Street Fighter 6 patch 1.30 on May 28 to add a new character and gameplay modes. The update introduces Ingrid to the roster alongside Random Avatar Matches, a mode designed to make Avatar Battles more accessible.

Capcom releases update adding new fighter and accessibility mode

The patch version is 1.30/1.000.031. It adds Ingrid as a playable fighter and includes a new Random Avatar Matches mode. This mode aims to improve accessibility for players engaging with the game's avatar system.

The new Random Avatar Matches mode introduces Level Sync and fixed parameters to make Avatar Battles more accessible for all players. The update also adjusts throw escape gauge rewards, reducing Drive Gauge gain from 10,000 to 5,000 and Super Art gauge gain from 1,000 to 0. Successful throw tech now provides reduced rewards.

The patch includes a Recovery Drive Reversal change that grants 10,000 Drive Gauge on successful throw avoidance during the invincibility period before an attack startup. These changes to throw escape rewards and Recovery Drive Reversal mechanics adjust the overall balance of defensive gameplay options.

Availability for the update is global and effective May 28. The Random Avatar Matches mode, Avatar Arcade, and Ingrid's release all launch simultaneously with this patch version.
