Players can access the update through a Steam public test build starting May 26. This early access allows users to experience the content before the official launch date.
Jason features two distinct powers called Omnipresent Evil and Improvised Carnage. Omnipresent Evil relies on stealth tactics that allow him to vanish from the map while tracking survivors through environmental cues. Improvised Carnage utilizes ranged attacks with makeshift projectiles to stagger or pin opponents in exchange for style points.
The character will arrive with several cosmetic options including an iconic ensemble featuring a thirteen-holed hockey mask and weather-beaten clothing. Additional skins include Backwoods Terror, Death Forsaken, and Depths of Despair.
Senior Creative Director Dave Richard described the collaboration as a special moment for the game's tenth anniversary chapter. The full mechanical breakdown of Jason abilities remains unconfirmed at this time.
