Huawei has confirmed that the Nova 16 series will launch on Monday, June 1. The company is already accepting reservations for all four models in China. These models include the Nova 16 Ultra, Nova 16 Pro, standard Nova 16, and the smaller Nova 16z variant.
Rectangular camera module and dual punch-hole selfies define the new flagship design
The design features a rectangular camera module that spans almost the entire width of the device. Huawei places the cameras inside a large black circle within this module. A second circle houses an additional sensor and an LED flash. The Ultra model distinguishes itself with a contrasting color area surrounding this camera setup.

Rumors suggest the Nova 16 Ultra will include a flagship HiSilicon Kirin 9 series chip. It may feature a 6.84-inch LTPO AMOLED display paired with a 7,000 mAh battery. The rear cameras are rumored to consist of a 50 MP main sensor and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens. The Pro and Ultra models use two selfie cameras in a pill-shaped punch-hole.
The base Nova 16 model uses only one front camera and two rear lenses. The smaller Nova 16z relies on a much smaller camera module with two lenses and two LED flashes. Huawei has not officially confirmed the rumored specifications for the Ultra variant yet.
