AMD has confirmed the production ramp of its next-generation EPYC server processors, codenamed Venice. The company is manufacturing these chips using TSMC's advanced 2nm process node. This marks the first high-performance computing product to enter volume production on this specific fabrication technology. Production currently takes place at TSMC's facilities in Taiwan.

The new EPYC lineup builds on AMD's Zen 6 architecture and scales up to 256 cores. This core count represents a 33% increase over the current Turin generation. AMD projects a 70% performance improvement for Venice compared to the existing EPYC Turin series. The company also states that per-socket memory bandwidth more than doubles to 1.6 TB/s, up from 614 GB/s in previous models.

CPU-to-GPU bandwidth receives a two-fold boost alongside these other specifications. TSMC plans to extend production ramping to its Arizona fabrication plant at a later date. Industry observers note that Venice will likely push AMD's server CPU revenue share even further above the record 46.2% achieved in Q1 2026.
AMD has not confirmed specific pricing or availability dates for the new EPYC Venice processors.
