Players of Honkai: Star Rail have an added reason to play this week with the release of 4.7 on November 11. It brings a new limited character and a permanent game mode that changes the way players get rewards. The addition of this new character changes the ways we approach team-building for the end-game content.
New character Aeon Aha and Affinitive Eidolon system arrive November 11
The sci-fi RPG has received an update called 'Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars' from the developer. The focus of this update patch is a new limited 5-star character called Aeon ★ Aha. He is added to the game as a new character following the Path of Elation which determines his special mechanics.
A new system of growth is added to this update called 'Affinitive Eidolon' which upgrades existing characters. In this case, it upgrades the character Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, and Jing Yuan. Silver Wolf LV.999, Sparxie and Yao Guang are also set to appear as reruns in the first half of the banner cycle.
New events like 'The Fluffy Movie: Overheated' and 'Interastral Peace Gala: Road to Fame' are introduced which adds more rewards and stories for players to experience. Additionally, the permanent mode of 'Currency Wars' starts its second season called 'Voyage Into the Canvas'.
The second half of the banner cycle will bring the reruns of Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, and Jing Yuan. These allow players who missed out on the initial releases to get these characters. New players and veterans of the game have ways to progress.

Does the Affinitive Eidolon system work on all characters or just the ones listed? I need to know if I can upgrade Acheron.
