Patch 26.11 introduces major systemic changes to balance Ranged versus Melee supports in the bot lane.
The patch buffs Diana, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Kassadin, and Quinn while nerfing Brand, Smolder, and Teemo. System buffs target Aftershock, Guardian, Heartsteel, Knight's Vow, Locket of the Iron Solari, and Zeke's Convergence. Dreammaker, Echoes of Helia, Moonstone Renewer, and Summon: Aery receive nerfs. Grubs gain a structural damage increase, and Imperial Mandate undergoes a full rework.
Leung-Harrison explained that Heimerdinger needs quality-of-life improvements because his turrets struggle against ranged minions after previous minion changes. Quinn receives a significant buff to address her weak performance in the jungle role. Smolder faces additional nerfs despite adjustments to Deathfire Touch interactions, as developers consider him too strong.
The patch launches globally ahead of the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational esports tournament. Riot Games has not confirmed specific details about future patches beyond this release window.
