Cold Symmetry rolled out the Rotten Autumn update for Mortal Shell 2 on October 20th. This patch adds 15 new dungeons and a new Photo Mode so that you can capture those in-game moments. Not to mention the Overkill graphics options for those with high end hardware!
Rotten Autumn update brings 15 new dungeons and Photo Mode
As far as the core gameplay goes, the update packs 15 new dungeons. This is where players can go to obtain 10 new Tarstones. There’s a new Tarstone for the Sheep shell too. You’ll also get a ghost NPC that drops off cryptic notes to help you navigate this new content.
As far as visual customization goes, there’s plenty of new cosmetic content. For example, there’s the new Harbinger Pumpkin Helmet and Impervious Lute skin. Then there are new shades for all the shells! Players will be able to deeply customize their character to look however they want.
There’s a new alternative soundtrack from Rotting Christ’s Sakis Tolis. The patch adds new Lute tracks to the audio library as well. We saw some balance and stability focus in the last Mortal Shell 2 update. This new update carries that forward, enhancing the player experience.
There are a number of bug fixes like stutters, softlocks, projectile physics, summon AI fixes. All of this is to make the game more stable and to improve performance for players. The Rotten Autumn update is out for all platforms worldwide right now. You can grab this patch and jump right into the new content.
