Lenovo has re-entered the smartphone market with the Legion Y70 gaming phone. The device is now available for pre-order in China.

The Legion Y70 features a 6.82-inch BOE Q10 OLED display with 2K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, LTPO technology, up to 7000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone includes a cooling system with a 5500 mm² vapor chamber, which Lenovo claims can reduce CPU temperature by up to 7°C. It has an 8000mAh battery with 90W fast charging and bypass charging, rated for 1200 cycles. The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-710 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide with macro, and a 32MP front camera. The device offers IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, eSIM, a 500Hz gyroscope, and runs Android 16 with Tianxi AI 4.0.

The Legion Y70 is available in Ice Soul White and Carbon Black. Pricing starts at 3099 CNY (about $455) for the 12GB + 256GB model.
Lenovo's return to smartphones comes with a focus on gaming performance. The high refresh rate display, large battery, and advanced cooling system are designed to appeal to mobile gamers. The inclusion of the latest connectivity standards and water resistance adds to the device's premium positioning.
