The new demo of Dust Front RTS provides a much greater visual scope on the battlefield. The way you plan your assaults shifts due to the expanded view. Developer rtsDimon has reworked the camera's zoom out to almost double the previous zoom range. This calls for a different game plan when it comes to placement and resource allocation in real time strategy games.

Expanded battlefield view requires new unit identification symbols
The developer rtsDimon has shared the new demo version of real time strategy game Dust Front RTS to demonstrate the visual changes. This new update has forced major rewrites of the visual post-processing systems to accommodate the increased field of view. The developer has stressed that the demo is purely for demo purposes and it's free to play.
In order to achieve better visibility in the greater field of view, they've increased the size of the super-heavy equipment units. In addition, they've further distinct smaller units and buildings by providing them with unique orientation. This unique visual distinction helps to quickly discern the purpose of the structure on the battlefield mayhem.
The update includes new visual icons to help identify units for quicker decisions. The replenish of infantry units is shown with a circle with lines. Flying units are shown with square corners. Medium combat vehicle is shown with a shield icon. Repair vehicles are shown with ARV. Infantry squads are represented with a small triangle. Supply builder is shown with a sledgehammer in a square.
