Epic Games has added a new Star Wars-themed mode to Fortnite called Droid Tycoon. The mode lets players collect over 200 droids from the Star Wars universe.
Droids come in four rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each droid has a base credits-per-second (CPS) value that increases with upgrades. Gold versions earn double the CPS of Base, Diamond doubles Gold, and Rainbow doubles Diamond. A Rainbow droid produces 8 times the CPS of its Base version. Placing a droid in its specialist area grants a 10% Credit Boost. Upgrade costs vary by rarity: Common costs 5, 10, or 15 Upgrade Chips; Rare costs 30, 50, or 75; Epic costs 120, 180, or 240; Legendary costs 400, 1,200, or 4,000 Upgrade Chips for Gold, Diamond, and Rainbow tiers respectively.
The mode includes a wide range of droids from the Star Wars franchise. Examples include the Mouse droid (Common, 2 Base CPS), R2-D2 (Epic, 360 Base CPS), and BB-8 (Mythic, CPS to be confirmed). The highest Base CPS among listed droids is the Opti-STRK at 1.51k (Legendary).
