PC gamers waiting for the next chapter in the survival-RPG series can now begin playing Outward 2. Outward 2 enters Early Access on February 8, 2027, offering a chance to shape the game before its full release. The Early Access release allows players to test new mechanics while the developers refine the experience based on community feedback.
Outward 2 Early Access launches globally on February 8, 2027
Nine Dots Studio developed this title, with Nine Dots Publishing handling the distribution. The game arrives on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG. Players can jump into the world alone or bring a friend along for the journey.
The core gameplay loop now centers on a new Exercise system. This mechanic allows characters to grow skills passively over time rather than relying solely on active combat or training mini-games. The development team also integrated two-player split-screen support for local co-op. Online cooperative play remains available for remote partners.
Previous updates for the project included delays related to balance and stability adjustments. The decision to launch in Early Access rather than as a finished product allows for ongoing refinement. This approach gives the studio time to address player concerns before the full launch.
The game launches globally on February 8, 2027. Players can purchase and download the Early Access version immediately on that date across all supported PC storefronts.
