Patch 1.021 resolves crashes and multiplayer bugs in 007 First Light
The release, identified as update 1.021 with build number 1.021.000, brings the game to version 1.3.1. IO Interactive confirmed the release in a statement noting that the update resolves several critical issues. The patch targets both single-player progression and the competitive TacSim environment.
Key fixes include a rare crash in Chapter 03 that occurred when heading down secret cellar stairs after the dining room puzzle. The update also resolves an issue where the 'The Grey Standard' outfit failed to unlock after linking an IOI Account. Additionally, the patch fixes path tracing reflection flickering on a luxury yacht and various mission-specific clipping and physics issues.
TacSim players will benefit from fixes for disconnection issues that previously prevented score submission to leaderboards. The update also addresses NPC jittering in TacSim, gadget flickering, and clipping problems with the Observant Spy outfit. These changes aim to improve the overall stability and visual fidelity of the game.
This release follows the last 007 First Light update, which also focused on balance and stability themes. The current patch continues the developer's effort to refine the game experience through targeted bug fixes. Players can now expect fewer interruptions during gameplay and more reliable performance in multiplayer modes.
