Sony is raising the PlayStation Plus Essential subscription price from $9.99 to $10.99 per month starting May 20. The 3-month plan also increases to $27.99.

Sony is raising the price of its PlayStation Plus Essential subscription starting May 20. The monthly fee will increase from $9.99 to $10.99 USD (about $10.99). The 3-month Essential tier will also go up by $3, from $24.99 to $27.99 USD (about $27.99).

The price increase applies to the Essential tier, the entry-level PlayStation Plus plan. Sony has not announced changes to the Extra or Premium tiers. The new pricing takes effect on May 20.
