Peladn WO5 Mini PC Gets Ryzen 5 3500U for $230
PC HARDWARE

Peladn has added a budget configuration to its WO5 mini PC lineup, targeting users who need a compact machine for basic office work. This new model uses an older processor to keep the price low, making it a practical option for light-duty tasks. Buyers looking for a cheap, small-footprint computer for web browsing and document editing should pay attention to this release. The device ships with enough connectivity to handle multiple displays and standard peripherals without cluttering a desk.

Budget mini PC targets office tasks with dual HDMI and 15W TDP

The new WO5 variant runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, which is built on the Zen+ microarchitecture. This four-core APU includes integrated Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics to handle display output and light visual tasks. Peladn designed this specific configuration to sit below more powerful options in their catalog. The company notes that the system performs slightly worse than 's Core 3 304 variant in benchmarks. It cannot run modern games, so it is strictly for productivity and media consumption.

Specifications

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U
  • RAM: 8GB (upgradeable)
  • Storage: 256GB SSD
  • Connectivity: WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0
  • Ports: 2x HDMI 2.0, 4x USB Type-A

Peladn limits the processor to a 15W thermal design power to ensure the small case stays cool. The base model comes with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid-state drive. Both the memory and storage are upgradeable, allowing users to expand capacity later. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.0 ports for dual monitor setups and a Gigabit Ethernet jack. The rear panel also features four USB Type-A ports, including two high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2 options. Wireless users get WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 built into the motherboard.

This configuration retails in China for 1,549 CNY (around $230). Peladn has not confirmed a global launch date for this specific Ryzen 5 model, though the 4300U version is already available internationally. We touched on Peladn WO7 Mini PC Brings Dual in our earlier Peladn coverage to track the brand's broader strategy. The current availability is limited to the Chinese market until further notice. This release offers a low-cost entry point into the mini PC segment for users with modest performance needs.
