Huawei has opened pre-orders for the Smart Screen S7 RGB TV series in China, introducing a display that prioritizes color accuracy over standard backlighting. Buyers who care about precise color reproduction for media consumption or creative work will find the new RGB-MiniLED technology relevant. This shift addresses a common limitation in traditional MiniLED panels by offering significantly richer color output.

New RGB-MiniLED 4K TVs with 120Hz refresh and HarmonyOS 4.3

The series includes three screen sizes: 55, 65, and 75 inches. Each model features a 4K (3840×2160) LCD IPS hard screen. The displays run a native 120 Hz refresh rate, which Huawei says can reach up to 300 Hz using double-refresh technology. This configuration targets viewers who want smooth motion handling alongside high-resolution detail.

Specifications

  • Display Technology: RGB-MiniLED, LCD IPS hard screen
  • Resolution: 4K (3840×2160)
  • Refresh Rate: 120 Hz native, up to 300 Hz with double-refresh tech
  • OS: HarmonyOS 4.3
  • Memory/Storage: 3 GB RAM, 64 GB storage

Under the hood, the TVs operate on HarmonyOS 4.3 with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Huawei claims the RGB-MiniLED backlight provides 94-bit color control precision and covers 105% of the BT.2020 color gamut. The company states this setup delivers about 66% more color richness than regular MiniLED TVs. A new high-end LCD panel also boosts brightness by 21% compared to previous iterations.

Audio configurations vary by size to match the screen dimensions. The 55 and 65-inch models use a simple 2.0 setup with two 12.5 W full-range speakers. The 75-inch model adds a pair of 12.5 W high-frequency speakers to that base setup. Pre-orders are now live in China for the 55-inch model at 3,999 YUAN (around $595) CNY (around $595). The 65-inch version costs 4,999 YUAN (around $743) CNY (around $743), and the 75-inch model is priced at 6,999 YUAN (around $1,041) CNY (around $1,041).
