Rebel Wolves released a hotfix for The Blood of Dawnwalker on September 3, addressing specific quest logic errors and controller input issues. Players who encountered broken dialogue chains or stuck tutorial sequences can now progress normally. This update stabilizes the early game experience for those who have already started their journey.

Rebel Wolves addresses broken dialogue chains and sprinting sensitivity in latest patch

The patch, labeled hotfix 1.0.2 on PC and update 1.004 on consoles, targets several key interactions. It resolves a scenario where the protagonist Coen could not speak with Farkas after eliminating nearby non-player characters. The developers also corrected Lunka's pathfinding during the tutorial, ensuring she leads Coen without getting lost.

Rebel Wolves provided the following details regarding the changes: "Coen can talk to Farkas now even after killing all NPCs around him. Lunka no longer gets lost when leading Coen in the tutorial. Uriashi blacksmith learned how to craft a certain holy sword. Adjustments to controller dead zone and input issues while sprinting." These fixes address both narrative flow and mechanical responsiveness.

The update also introduces technical adjustments to controller sensitivity during sprinting. A known issue involving game stuttering in windowed or borderless mode persists, with the recommended workaround being a switch to full-screen mode. Additional known issues include crashes during shader compilation and missing button mapping options on PS5 controllers.

We looked at The Alighieri Circle earlier while tracking Rebel wolves launches. The Blood of Dawnwalker remains available on supported platforms with these stability improvements applied. Players should install the latest patch to ensure smooth gameplay progression.
