Square Enix has locked in a release date for Final Fantasy VII Revelations, confirming the title arrives on April 8, 2027. This timeline shifts the franchise's immediate focus away from other stalled projects, giving players a concrete target for the next major entry. Square Enix confirms three pricing tiers and post-launch story expansions

The game launches with three distinct pricing tiers designed to accommodate different spending levels. The base edition costs $70, which aligns with the current standard for premium role-playing games. Square Enix also offers higher-value bundles for collectors and dedicated fans of the series.

The premium edition is priced at $100 and includes 24 hours of early access to the game. This tier also provides various in-game bonuses to help players get a head start. The premium plus version costs $110 and adds a digital artbook and a digital soundtrack to the package.

Premium plus buyers receive a special in-game item that slightly restores MP after battle. Square Enix stated that the Story Expansion Pass will also be available for individual purchase after the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION. These expansions will feature Sephiroth and Vincent and are not exclusive to the premium editions.

We looked at Final Fantasy 9 remake stalled, Square in our earlier Square enix coverage. The company is clearly prioritizing the Revelation project over other remake initiatives. The base game and its expansion pass will be available globally on the confirmed date.
