HoYoverse is pushing Zenless Zone Zero into a new tactical phase with Version 3.2, titled "Their Secret Histories." This update matters because it introduces a completely new combat role that changes how players build their teams. The patch arrives on September 9, 2026, and adds two high-tier characters to the roster. Players using current strategies may need to adjust their tactics for the new challenges.
New S-Rank agents and Armorer role arrive September 9
The update lands on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android simultaneously. Two new S-Rank agents join the fray to drive this shift in gameplay. Claret Flint brings Electric damage to the table, while Roxy Ifrita Pryce specializes in Wind attacks. The new agents add more elemental combinations for player teams.
- Version: 3.2
- Update Title: Their Secret Histories
- Release Date: September 9, 2026
- New S-Rank Agent 1: Claret Flint (Electric)
- New S-Rank Agent 2: Roxy Ifrita Pryce (Wind)
A key mechanical change is the introduction of the "Armorer" agent specialty. This new role focuses on defense-scaled damage, offering a fresh way to deal with tough enemies. The story arc takes place in Vyrium, where players encounter the TOPS organization and the Flint Workshop. The new setting serves as the background for the story.
We looked at the last Zenless Zone Zero update while tracking these changes, and the balance themes remain consistent. Players can earn free outfits from the Angels of Delusion faction across Versions 3.2 and 3.3. Login rewards include 10 encrypted master tapes and 10 boopons for early participants. The update introduces new mechanics and characters that support player progression.
