HoYoverse confirms global release date for the major update
The Steam release introduces full cross-platform progression and cloud saves across all supported platforms. Players can jump between existing accounts without losing data or progress.
A PC graphics upgrade adds native real-time global illumination via ray tracing. The engine also supports DLSS Super-Resolution and Frame Generation architectures for improved rendering performance.
Version 3.0 moves the main story to a new open zone called Roscaelifer, which replaces New Eridu's street-level grid. HoYoverse introduces three playable agents: Velina as an S-Rank Wind Anomaly unit, Norma as an S-Rank Fire Stun character, and Pyrois from the Phaethon faction.
The update deploys two permanent end-game modes titled 'Bangbang! The Genius and the Miracle Chip' and 'Annihilation Simulacrum'. These additions provide structured challenges for players seeking high-difficulty content.
