Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed arrives on PC this week, offering a visual refresh for players who missed the original side-scrolling action platformer. Devolver Digital and developer doinksoft have released this remaster to update the game’s look and remove outdated content warnings that no longer fit modern standards. Buyers looking for a nostalgic platformer with modern visuals should note the November 19 launch date on Steam.

Remastered platformer arrives on Steam with updated visuals
The title serves as a remaster of a previous remake of the original monochrome action platformer. Devolver Digital publishes the game while doinksoft handles development. The core gameplay remains a side-scrolling action platformer where players control Volvy. The protagonist uses an oversized hand to interact with the world.
The most distinct feature is the oversized hand mechanic. Players can use this appendage to hover, grind, burrow, and smash through enemies and obstacles. The game also includes redesigned minigames between each level. These minigames no longer encourage children to smoke cigarettes, a change from the original version.
Every pixel from the original Volvy’s Adventure and its previous re-releases has been meticulously redrawn and recolored. The original development team, who are no longer incarcerated, handled the visual redesign. This effort ensures the game retains its original charm while looking significantly brighter and more detailed.
Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed launches on Steam globally on November 19. We looked at earlier Devolver Digital releases while tracking this announcement.
