Sony is preparing to launch a new premium headphone model called the 1000X "The ColleXion" on May 19, 2026, according to a leak from HotEUDeals. The headphones feature a 12-microphone array for active noise cancellation, powered by a dual-processor setup with QN3 and V3 chips.
12-microphone array powers adaptive ANC
The 1000X "The ColleXion" offers up to 24 hours of battery life with ANC on and 32 hours with ANC off. A quick charge provides 1.5 hours of playback in five minutes. The headphones come in Black and Platinum White, with a premium build that includes leather cushions and metal hinges. They also include a sculpted purse-style carrying case with magnetic closure and a 1.2m audio cable.

Pricing is set at 629 EUR (about $735) in the EU, 549 GBP (about $739) in the UK, and 649 USD (about $649) in the US. The headphones will be available globally starting May 19, 2026.
The audio tuning was done by engineers from Battery Studios, Sterling Sound, and Coast Mastering. The headphones also feature AI voice pickup with six-microphone beamforming. It remains unclear whether a charging cable will be included in the box, as official materials appear to contradict each other on this point.

Sony has not officially confirmed the leak. The launch date and specifications are based on information from HotEUDeals.
