Call of Duty: Mobile players should mark their calendars for August, as Season 7 brings major content changes that affect how the game plays. Activision and TiMi Studio Group released the "Terminated" update, which introduces licensed crossover content and new gameplay modes. This update matters because it reshapes the competitive landscape with fresh operators and objective-based modes that require different strategies.

Activision update brings Terminator 2 skins and new gameplay modes

The centerpiece of this season is an official crossover with Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Players can unlock T-800 and T-1000 operator skins, bringing iconic characters from the film into the mobile battlefield. This licensed content adds a layer of nostalgia and visual distinction to the existing roster of playable characters.

Weapon balance and mode variety see significant shifts in this update. The Cronen Squall assault rifle joins the game, offering a hard-hitting option available through the Battle Pass. Multiplayer gets two new modes: Operator Skill Overdrive and Hardpoint: Mayhem. These additions provide fresh tactical challenges beyond the standard team deathmatch and domination formats.

Battle Royale players have new objectives to pursue on Rebirth Island. The update introduces Lockdown, an objective-based mode that changes how teams engage in combat. An Overload class is also available, adding another layer of strategic depth to the battle royale experience. Additionally, the classic Nuketown map receives a visual refresh inspired by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, updating its aesthetic while keeping its familiar layout.

The Season 7 update went live globally in August, making all new content immediately accessible. Activision continues to expand the game's ecosystem with licensed partnerships and mechanical updates. Players can now test the new Cronen Squall and explore the refreshed Nuketown map in both multiplayer and battle royale modes.
