Nintendo released version 1.7 for Mario Kart World, bringing two new Knockout Tour routes to the game. This update expands the competitive multiplayer mode that reviewers have praised as a standout feature of the title. Players who enjoy the race-based elimination format now have more content to master.
New Knockout Tour routes and photo mode stickers arrive in latest patch
The new routes are named Drill Rally and Boomerang Rally. Drill Rally starts at the east side of the map, while Boomerang Rally covers the course in a boomerang shape. These additions bring the total number of available Knockout Tour routes to ten.
- Update Version: 1.7
- New Knockout Tours: Drill Rally, Boomerang Rally
- Total Knockout Tours: 10
- Sticker Count: 1,056
- New Feature: Stickers in Photo Mode
Version 1.7 also introduces the ability to use collected stickers in Photo Mode. The game includes 1,056 stickers in total for players to gather. Nintendo added support for the Thai language in this update.
The patch includes acceleration and gliding speed adjustments for specific characters and vehicles. It also fixes bugs related to Time Trials ghost timing, collision issues, and course boundary errors. VGC noted in their review that Knockout Tour may be the greatest addition to the series since Mario Kart 64 added four-player support.
When we covered the last mario kart world update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. This patch continues that focus by refining gameplay mechanics and fixing technical glitches. The update is now available for all players.
