Nintendo has expanded its Nintendo Music app beyond mobile devices to include desktop browsers, tablets, and car interfaces via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The update brings the service to a wider range of screens for listeners who want to access game soundtracks outside of handheld gaming.

The latest addition includes 130 tracks from Mario Kart World, which is described as a critically acclaimed title. This expansion pushes the total library of available soundtracks to nearly 150 across approximately 150 different Nintendo games.
Accessing these audio features requires an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. The subscription model bundles the music service with other online benefits for console players rather than offering it as a standalone product.
The app now supports desktop browsers on both PC and Mac, alongside dedicated tablet versions. Car-friendly modes have also been integrated to allow playback through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems in compatible vehicles.
Nintendo has confirmed that the open world music for Mario Kart World is not yet available in the current build. The company states this portion of the soundtrack will be added in future updates, though it notes some listeners consider it a highlight of the collection.
The service continues to grow its catalog with each major release from Nintendo's software division. Users can expect ongoing additions as new game soundtracks are integrated into the platform.
