ZTE has launched the G5 Pro 5G AI CPE, a mobile router that supports Wi-Fi 7. The device is now available in China.

Powered by a 4nm quad-core processor

The router features a 4nm quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It offers theoretical peak download speeds of 4.29Gbps over 5G. The G5 Pro includes dual 2.5G Ethernet ports with WAN/LAN auto-adaptive functionality. It also has a 13dBi high-gain antenna system and two TS-9 ports for external antennas. The device can support up to 256 connected devices.

The G5 Pro is priced at 2099 CNY (about $308). It is available on JD.com.

The router includes Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO and 4K QAM. ZTE claims the 4K QAM modulation provides a 20% transmission speed improvement over Wi-Fi 6. The company also says the device can improve average speeds in weak-signal areas by up to 40%. The G5 Pro has a built-in ZTE data SIM card with theoretical speeds up to 1Gbps. It also includes NFC tap-to-connect for Android phones and built-in acceleration services from NetEase UU and China Mobile.
