Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Electric Straight Handle Screwdriver for crowdfunding in China, positioning it as a practical tool for home repairs and furniture assembly. The device features a 2000mAh battery that supports Type-C charging, offering enough power to tighten approximately 600 screws on a single charge.

The screwdriver operates with three adjustable torque levels to handle different fastening tasks. In electric mode, it delivers up to 4 N·m of torque, while manual mode increases the maximum output to 8 N·m for tougher applications. The unit uses an all-metal planetary gearbox designed to maintain stable output during heavy use and reduce slipping or jamming.
The package includes a magnetic bit holder to keep screws aligned in tight spaces, though this feature works best with ferrous and iron-based alloy fasteners.
