Xiaomi has introduced AI chips in its air conditioners to enable adaptive cooling. The Mijia Air Conditioner Strong Wind Pro uses an on-device AI chip paired with a cloud-based model. This system learns household patterns to balance energy efficiency and comfort.

AI chip learns household patterns

Traditional air conditioners operate on fixed cooling curves. The new model adjusts its cooling power based on user behavior. For example, it can recognize when someone arrives home and temporarily increase cooling.

Xiaomi also launched the Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop 6 Max alongside the air conditioner. The vacuum features improved navigation. The company has committed over $9 billion to AI research over three years.

Xiaomi president Lu Weibing stated that the AI chip improves energy efficiency and comfort by learning household patterns. The company has not confirmed pricing or availability for the new air conditioner.
