Xbox is adjusting its subscription service with a price cut that lowers the monthly cost for Ultimate members and adding seven new titles to the library. The reduction brings the Ultimate tier down to $22.99 per month, which saves subscribers money on the premium bundle that includes console, PC, and cloud access. This pricing change makes the service more affordable for players who want access to day-one releases and a larger catalog. The new additions include major franchises and indie hits that expand the options available on day one.

New titles arrive alongside monthly subscription rate reductions

The upcoming titles span several genres and platforms, ensuring compatibility across Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, and cloud streaming. Halo: Campaign Evolved arrives on July 28 as a remake of the original Halo single-player mode developed by Halo Studios. Beast of Reincarnation, an action RPG from developer Game Freak, joins the service on August 4. Mistfall Hunter is scheduled for July 30, while Shift at Midnight launches on July 22. Corsair Cove follows on July 31, completing the list of new arrivals.

Pricing for the different tiers has been updated to reflect the new rates effective immediately. Game Pass Ultimate now costs $22.99 USD (around $22.99) per month, a drop from the previous $29.99 rate established in April. PC Game Pass is priced at $13.99 USD (around $13.99) per month. These rates apply to new and existing subscribers in the US region. The service continues to offer access to the expanding library of games across all supported devices.

Seven games are departing the service on July 31, marking the end of their availability for subscribers. Titles leaving include Celeste, Crusader Kings 3, and Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. Heretic + Hexen joins Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass on August 4, providing a separate release window for that package.
