Microsoft is reshaping the Xbox Game Pass library for August 2026 with ten new titles and four departures. This monthly shift matters because it determines which games subscribers can access without additional purchases. Players should check the specific release dates to plan their gaming sessions around the new arrivals.
Ten new titles arrive across Premium and Ultimate tiers while four games exit the library
The update splits the new content across different subscription tiers. Seven games are expanding to the Premium plan, which includes Monsters are Coming, PowerWash Simulator 2, Bounty Star, Grounded 2, Ball x Pit, Mio: Memories in Orbit, and Egging On. Three other titles remain exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass for this month.
- New Game Pass Premium Titles: Monsters are Coming, PowerWash Simulator 2, Bounty Star, Grounded 2, Ball x Pit, Mio: Memories in Orbit, Egging On
- Game Pass Ultimate/PC Titles: Date Everything!, Cricket 26, Sandustry
- Leaving Titles: Menace, Atlas Fallen Cloud, Aliens: Firestream Elite, Firewatch
The Ultimate and PC tiers will receive Date Everything!, Cricket 26, and Sandustry. These additions do not extend to the lower-cost Premium tier during this rollout. The distinction ensures that subscribers on different plans have distinct libraries to explore.
New games arrive in waves throughout the month. Monsters are Coming launches first on August 6. Bounty Star and Grounded 2 follow on August 11. Ball x Pit arrives on August 12. Cricket 26, Mio: Memories in Orbit, and Sandustry join the service on August 13. Egging On closes out the new additions on August 18.
Four titles are leaving the service on August 15. Menace, Atlas Fallen Cloud, Aliens: Firestream Elite, and Firewatch will be removed from the library. Subscribers who have not played these games before that date will lose access to them. We looked at the last Xbox Game Pass update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up.
Microsoft confirmed the full schedule for these changes. The new titles and removals are active globally. Subscribers can access the new games immediately upon their release dates.
