KOEI Tecmo and Team NINJA have announced Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the sequel to the 2023 action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The game is set to launch in early 2027.

Sequel builds on 2023's combat and setting

The announcement came with a debut gameplay trailer shown at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. Wo Long 2 continues the dark fantasy take on the Three Kingdoms era, blending Chinese martial arts with demonic foes.

Players will master evolved Chinese martial arts and battle across battlefields overrun by monstrous demons. They will fight alongside renowned heroes from history, according to the developers.

Debut trailer shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2026

The game is coming to PC and consoles worldwide in early 2027. Platforms beyond PC have not been confirmed, though the Xbox showcase hints at an Xbox version.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launched in 2023 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, earning positive reviews for its combat and setting. The sequel builds on that foundation with expanded mechanics and a new story.

The debut trailer offered a glimpse of the gameplay and atmosphere, but detailed features and system requirements have not yet been revealed. More details will be revealed closer to launch.
