Winsystems has released the SBC35-474, an industrial single-board computer designed for harsh environments. This product matters because it brings modern Windows 11 IoT support to rugged hardware that previously relied on older operating systems. Buyers needing reliable edge computing in extreme temperatures now have a viable option that balances processing power with durability.

Rugged single-board computer adds modern OS support and dual 2.5GbE ports

The board centers on Atom processors from the x7211RE, x7433RE, or x7835RE families. These chips offer up to eight cores with a low 12-watt thermal design power. This configuration allows the system to handle demanding tasks without generating excessive heat in enclosed industrial enclosures.

Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Atom x7211RE, x7433RE, or x7835RE (up to 8 cores, 12W TDP)
  • Memory: 8 or 16 GB DDR5
  • Storage: 128 GB eMMC, 3x M.2 slots (SATA/NVMe, wireless, cellular)
  • Network: 2x 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet, optional cellular
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to 85°C

Memory and storage options include 8 or 16 GB of DDR5 RAM and 128 GB of eMMC storage. The system provides three M.2 slots for expansion, including one for SATA or NVMe SSDs. It also supports wireless modules and optional cellular connectivity through dedicated slots.

Connectivity features dual 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports for high-speed network communication. Display output supports up to three screens simultaneously via HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, and eDP. The board operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C, ensuring stability in challenging industrial settings.

The SBC35-474 measures 146 by 102 mm and supports both Ubuntu and Windows 11 IoT. This compact form factor allows for easy integration into existing industrial control systems. The combination of rugged durability and modern software support makes it suitable for automated manufacturing and remote monitoring applications.
