Cygames developers experienced a surreal moment when they realized the global reach of Umamusume: Pretty Derby at Anime Expo 2025.

The team watched overseas fans spontaneously sing and dance to 'Umapyoi Densetsu' during convention panels, catching them off guard despite the game's established popularity in Japan.

The English version of 'Umapyoi Densetsu' arrived in 2025 with original Japanese voice actors handling vocals, bridging language barriers for international players.

Fan initiatives span continents: cosplayers run events across Peru, community members restored a memorial grave in China, and supporters raised over $600,000 for Japanese horse stables through verified donation drives.

Cygames confirmed the developer reactions during convention coverage without adding commentary on the cultural impact or future game updates.
