Tianma Microelectronics has unveiled two new laptop display panels designed specifically for Intel's upcoming Razor Lake platform. The company introduced a 14-inch 2.8K in-cell touch panel and a larger 16-inch WQ variant to support the next-generation processors. Both screens utilize LTPS process technology to deliver improved power efficiency and visual performance.

The headline 14-inch display features an in-cell touch architecture with ITST functionality. It supports variable refresh rates ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz during active use. The larger 16-inch WQ panel offers a wider adaptive range, dropping as low as 1Hz for static content and scaling up to 120Hz for video playback or gaming. Both panels rely on oxide technology to manage power consumption dynamically.

Tianma states that the displays reduce energy usage by intelligently disabling touch functionality during static workloads. The screens drop to lower refresh rates when displaying fixed images, which conserves battery life without compromising responsiveness. Users will see the panel switch back to higher frequencies automatically for media or interactive tasks.
The panels are scheduled to arrive alongside Intel's Razor Lake processors in Q4 2027. Early reports suggest the platform may feature up to 52 cores and adopt a Memory-on-Package design similar to Lunar Lake, though these details remain unconfirmed by Intel.
