The project brings together original creator Kamui Fujiwara and the publisher to update the game for a new audience. Players can finally access this long-unavailable gem on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PS4, Switch, and .

Classic action RPG arrives on six platforms with original creator involvement

The revival involves significant collaboration between Clear River Games and Square Enix. Original character designer and manga artist Kamui Fujiwara remains involved in the project. Fujiwara helped design characters, the world, and game settings during the original development. His participation ensures the revival stays true to the original vision while adapting to modern standards.

Terranigma launches in 2027 across six platforms. The release includes both digital and physical versions for console players. The game retains its core themes of god, humanity, creation, and destruction. Fujiwara hopes these elements resonate with today's players as a living work rather than a relic. The update may not be exactly the same as the 1995 version but aims to capture its atmosphere.
