Bandai Namco is releasing a new downloadable character for Tekken 8, which changes the roster options for fighting game players. Roger Jr. joins the cast as the latest addition to the Season 3 content, giving fans a new fighter to master. This update expands the competitive landscape for those who invest time in the game's online modes.
Staggered release gives pass holders five-day early access to new fighter
The character Roger Jr. appears in Tekken 8, a title available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco developed the game and is handling the distribution of this new DLC content. Players on all supported platforms can access the update to play against or with the new character.
Access to Roger Jr. depends on your previous purchase status with the Season 3 Character Pass. Owners of the Season 3 Character Pass can download and play as Roger Jr. starting on November 11. This early access rewards players who bought the bundle before the character's public release.
Players without the Season 3 Character Pass must wait until November 16 to unlock Roger Jr. The five-day gap allows pass holders to practice with the character before the general player base joins. This staggered release ensures that early supporters get a head start in the updated roster.
We have tracked Tekken 8 closely and previously covered the Tekken 8 Season 3 DLC Reveals. That earlier report identified Yujiro Hanma as the final fighter in the Season 3 lineup. Roger Jr. sits earlier in that same seasonal schedule, preceding the more anticipated additions.
Roger Jr. becomes playable globally on November 11 for pass owners and November 16 for everyone else. Tekken 8 remains available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The character is now a confirmed part of the game's Season 3 content.
